I am honored to continue to serve as Principal of Patriots STEM Elementary. We are soaring to new heights at Patriots, and I am so proud of our students and staff.

I am currently in the doctoral program for Educational Leadership at University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where I also earned my Masters in School Administration. Additionally, I graduated from Virginia Tech, where I received a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. I worked as an engineer for a gas pipeline in Texas for nine years, before following my passion and switching to a career in education. In 2002, I began teaching 4th grade students in Texas, and I continued to teach 5th grade in North Carolina. After 10 years in the classroom, I became an assistant principal at Weddington Hills, where I worked nine years before my appointment to Patriots.

My husband and I have two adult daughters that both attended North Carolina State University. We love hiking, boating, and enjoying the outdoors of our beautiful state.

I am a dedicated educator whose most important goal is to grow every student and help them succeed. As the Principal of Patriots STEM Elementary, I look forward to working with each of you as we partner in educating our students.

I am so excited to be a part of the amazing staff here at Patriots! I look forward to working with students, parents and staff as we thrive to become a “Leader in STEM Education.” I graduated from West Chester University (in Pennsylvania) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education and received my Masters degree in School Administration from Gardner Webb University. I have previously served as a Health and Physical Education teacher and Assistant Principal in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

I am thrilled to serve as the principal intern at Patriots Elementary for the 2025–2026 school year! I hold both a Bachelor’s (2011) and Master’s degree (2012) in Elementary Education from James Madison University and am currently pursuing my School Administration degree at UNC Charlotte, which I will complete in May 2026. My husband and I live in Cabarrus County with our two daughters, Kennedy (7) and Willa (4). I enjoy spending time outdoors, heading to the beach, and trying new recipes in the kitchen. I’m excited to support the incredible students, staff, and families at Patriots and to continue learning and growing alongside this amazing school community!
